Worldstudio created a combined identity program and promotional campaign for two New York City Department of Small Business Services initiatives. NYC Business Solutions is a set of free services to help businesses start, operate and expand in New York City. Workforce 1 prepares and connects qualified candidates to job opportunities in the city.

The goal for each was to create an image that communicates a user-friendly, competent organization to eliminate the typical public perception of a complex and bureaucratic government. Worldstudio created and managed all aspects of each project from concept development through production.

The stationery system.

An advertising campaign was created to promote the stories of small business owners who leveraged the services of NYC Business Solutions.

Campaign print ads range from local community newspapers to city-wide publications.

A series of InDesign templates were created for the in-house design department to unify all branded materials from press releases and announcements to flyers and temporary signage.

Workforce1 has job-placement offices in all five boroughs of New York City.

The stationery system.

A promotional campaign was built around success stories of individuals who landed jobs through Workforce1. Story cards are handed out at job fairs, community centers and in Workforce1 offices.

Simple templates in Microsoft Word are accompanied by a tooklit for non-designers to produce consistent documents and temporary signage in each Workforce1 location.

Worldstudio developed a series of guidelines for consistent branding of the individual Workforce1 offices.
